Please do not confuse it with Spirulina which grows artificially in lakes and pools (Arthrospira), this is green seaweed harvested in the ocean at the low tide mark, (It has always been called Spirulina in this locality and down the Irish Coast) Spirulina is rich in Vitamins A, C, E and the B-complex vitamins. These vitamins are found in their natural form.
Spirulina is rich in natural minerals including Calcium, Iron and Magnesium and is also rich in proteins, including the essential amino acids.
